"squid-users" is NOT where development is conducted. Read it again:

That's straight from www.squid-cache.org. If you have a problem with that,
complain to the Squid developers.

NOT with DEVEL versions. DEVEL-level software is explicitly intended for
those who have a level of experience/expertise for fault-finding by
themselves; when a REALLY difficult problem is encountered, it should be
reported to one of the alternative lists noted above, NOT to squid-users.
