Ouch.. that is an ancient version and no longer supported by the Squid
developers or this mailinglist. Get yourself a more recent one before
continuing
Suggestion:
get
ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/rawhide/SRPMS/SRPMS/squid-<mostrecentversion>.src.rpm
from ftp.redhat.com or one of it's mirrors.
Then run "rpm --rebuild squid-<mostrecentversion>.src.rpm", and finally
"rpm -U /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/i386/squid-<mostrecentversion>.i386.rpm".
(the above requires that you have the development packages installed,
i.e. gcc and so on)
