Free BSD or RH 6.1 ?

dear friends

 i am running squid 2.2 Stable 4 on RH 6.1 , it is working great,

as we are expanding, i have to prepare few Squid Box ready, i have given the choice for os thats Free BSD or RH 6.1 , which would be the better
if stability, perfomance are the main criateria , as i just know a bit about RH linux,and nothing about BSD

please suggest me OS ,
