I get these too, around a 1000 a day, looking like:
952688188.304 43 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx NONE/400 1616 GET
http://channels.real.com/getlatest.glh?PV=6.0.5.27&OS=WIN&L=en-US,%20en,%20*&LID=1033&ch=120+89+0+0+0&ch=72+51+0+0+0&ch=44+367+0+0+0&ch=52+720+0+0+0&ch=33+603+0+0+0&ch=73+163+0+0+0&ch=98+188+0+0+0&ch=94+394+0+0+0&ch=16+729+0+0+0&ch=113+111+0+0+0&ch=51+118+0+0+0&ch=97+108+0+0+0
- NONE/- -
Nothing gets put in cache.log. Interestingly, I've tried cut n' pasting
the URL into Netscape and it works fine from there, so I assume it is
something else about the request that is invalid.
I think the best thing is not to worry about it. My guess is that it's
one of those RealPlayer things that sits in the "tray" on Windows 95,
continually sending out requests without the user's knowledge. In a way,
it's good that the request fails, since it stops them wasting the
external bandwidth!
