Is there a howto somewhere on www-accelerating?
I want to fix the following problem, and since I'm sure it has already been
mentioned here, I ask for a howto.
Ok, the situation:
- we have a domain www.something.nl, www.something.nl is one of the
ip-aliases of our proxy running squid 2.3stable1
on a linux 2.2.14 pc. squid is binded to the ip-address of
www.something.nl and accelerates requests to the www-
server which is on our intranet; 192.168.0.245 (microsoft IIS). All of
this works, but this morning people decided
to use subdirectories on the www, and suddenly www.something.nl WORKS, but
when clients surf to www.something.nl/test
they get redirected to 192.168.0.245/test ! (which, of course, fails)
Configuration-things in affect:
http_port __IPADDRESSOF_WWW.SOMETHING.NL_:80
httpd_accel_host 192.168.0.245
httpd_accel_port 80
httpd_accel_with_proxy off
httpd_accel_uses_host_header off
squid is started with:
./squid -s
