I also using squidGuard, and it works fine.
However, some of the config documentation made me confuse, for instance:
time space specifications was said to be ok like this (from its
example):
date 2000.06.01 2000.06.12 # Ascension Day and Whitsun y2000
but when I try to configure like that, the squidGuard complains and went
into emergency mode.
I fix it by rewriting into two lines, each specifying only one day spec.
There's more about config rules that when applied causing emergency
modes, such as placement of "within" and "outside" keywords.
You better watch carefully your squidGuard.log to make sure it was not
operated in emergency mode just because bad config lines that
configuration guides told you.
