User authentication via ldap ?

Hi,
Is there a plan to include a user-authent.
with a ldap-server ?
Or is there already a module available ??

I just use a netscape directory-server as ldap-server and
our apache-server ( linux ) authenticates users to this
ldap-server, which gets his users from a nt-machine.
Now only the squidaccess is done with ip-adresses and
it would it make easier to do this access adress-independent
via ldap.
Is there a chance ??
