I've finally (after much thought as it was stable) moved from squid 1.1 novm to 2.2 stable5
After a few minor tweaks, the system seems reasonably stable.
The only thing I've not been able to do is get my log files to rotate. I've read the faq...
squid.conf:
.
.
cache_access_log /var/spool/squid/logs/access.log
cache_log /var/spool/squid/logs/cache.log
cache_store_log /var/spool/squid/logs/store.log
.
logfile_rotate 7
.
.
The message in the cache.log file when I execute "squid -k rotate":
.
.
1999/10/28 08:56:17| storeLogRotate: Rotating.
1999/10/28 08:56:17| accessLogRotate: Rotating
.
.
I'm sure this has been asked before. After looking at the Faq, I wonder if async IO on by default?
