cache_effective_user, cache_effective_group

Hi,

I want to run squid as user squid but when I add the
following lines to my squid.conf file squid does not start:

cache_effective_user squid
cache_effective_group squid

The user and group 'squid' both exist and if I comment
these two lines squid runs without any problem. I also
cannot find anything strange in the log files
I have squid-2.2.STABLE5 installed.
