Given then that my cache is "full" does that mean I am not going to see
any other directories filled? If that is then the case, what "capacity" is
assigned to each "bottom-level" directory in the cache heirarchy. If there
is such a capacity then the numbers in the cache_dir directive should
probably reflect that capacity, ie, in

        cache_dir /path/to/cache total sd1 sd2

then

        sd1 * sd2 * ("capacity" of each sd2) = total

should be used to calculate sd1 and sd2 for "optimal" layout.
