very simple question but urgent

I am going to use squid as my proxy/cache
but I wonder if my clients still can use services
like IRC/FTP/RTP/EMAIL ... as long as they will
have invalid IP's
right now they've got Valid IP's

I'd glad if anyone could help me asap.
