I am seeing the very same problem. Config: Linux w/squid as gateway.
Win95 system as workstation
My browser does not allow me to download from Netscape (ftp site), even
using http.
On the linux system, ncftp generates the same problem - it times out on any
directory listing or an attempted download. However, a direct ftp
connection works.
I have no idea why, possibly some quirk with the Netecape site.
