Using SQUID with IPCHAINS

I am trying to get SQUID to work on a firewall that is configured with
IPCHAINS.

My workstations are on a private 192.168.0.0/24 network and I use MASQuerading.

I have the input REDIRECT working with port 8080 -> 3128, but I am having
trouble getting SQUID to talk to the outside world.

What services does SQUID need to operate? Clearly, it needs to contact any
IP address at port 80. What else does it need? I need to punch holes in my
firewall to make these happen.
