This is an error in Netscape Navigator 4.61 for Windows 95/98/NT. It is
limiting the entire domain name to 64 characters instead of allowing 63
characters for each domain label plus 1 character for a separator.

The dnsserver included with Squid 1.1.22 has no problems with the URL when
it is given the complete domain name. M$IE 5.0 handles the URL correctly
and passes the entire string to Squid.

MB} is an actual web site, and squid can't connect to it.  Try it.  The
MB} dnsserver claims it can't resolve the IP.  Yet all my DNS tools can, and I
MB} can telnet to it, and issue a HTTP GET on port 80.  In fact, this is the web
MB} site for the village in Wales that has this name. ;)  A web browser without
MB} a proxy, and Gauntlet http-gw have no trouble with it.
