I would suggest the apache web-pages. Squid can do this too, however.
Part of the confusion, I think has derived rom the fact that the term
'reverse proxy' is unfamiliar to people. Try 'http- (or web-)
accellerator'. I believe there's a whole section in the squid FAQ about
setting one up.
