Subject: FileDescriptors again...
Hello all,
my cache.log file show (many times) this error :
WARNING! Your cache is running out of filedescriptors
I saw Squid FAQ but I need help to solve this problem.
This is my configuration :
Linux Suse 5.3 with 2.0.35 kernel (I think to upgrade to Suse Kernel
2.0.36)
squid-2.2.STABLE3
256 (sigh..) file descriptors.
I changed /usr/src/linux/include/linux/limits.h file like this :
#define OPEN_MAX 512 /* # open files a process may have */
but (squid) ./configure reply :
>checking Maximum number of filedescriptors we can open... 256
>WARNING: 256 may not be enough filedescriptors if your

I need to restart Linux server ? I need to remake Kernel ? I must use
2.0.36 kernel with Michael O'Reilly "filehandle_patch_linux_v8_04" ?
