I haven't tried 1.05 as the 1.2 for Windows NT command line
version is considerably faster than the GUI ones, but the
latter, and the 1.2 Linux version both happily work through
Squid 2.2S3. I've had about 35 batches turned round through
this route over the last three or so weeks, mainly from Linux.
The NT command line version reportedly works on Win 98, but not
Win 95.
Note that they generate broken responses that squid will treat
as HTML 0.9, and Apache mutilates - they feed back the request
headers, including the POST line, rather than sending proper
HTTP 1.0 headers. I've sent this to their black hole, sorry
bug report, address, but not the Apache case as I only discovered
that later. (The will not tolerate the proxy adding any headers.)
Also, the syntax for the proxy is not properly documented for the
command line versions; it is -proxy <host>:<port>
