Page Faults are a normal part of the operation of the system. This
line is just a piece of statistical information.

However, 70 page faults per second of CPU time would suggest that the
machine is desperately short of memory, and the stress this imposed
might well have triggered another latent problem. (I get 0.2 on a
486/33, although a faster machine would get more done per second of
CPU time, but 70 a second still makes it very I/O bound.)
