It does pretty much exactly what it says it does: That is, it sets the
size of a specific _part_ of the in-memory allocations done by squid. It
doesn't (and isn't supposed to) give you control over a whole bunch of
other things that are corollary to or distinct from that allocation.
They aren't tweakables. This bit is, and you can control it's size. The
size of other portions are necessarily a function of this setting, or
functions of other factors.
