CALL FOR PARTICIPATION
Fourth International Web Caching Workshop
March 31 - April 2
University of California San Diego
The 1999 Web Caching Workshop is now less than one month away. The
program committee has finished selecting papers for the conference
program. We have an excellent selection of 18 technical papers
covering a wide variety of topics related to Web caching and
performance. The preliminary program is now available on the workshop
home page (workshop.ircache.net).
In addition to the paper presentations, we also have time slots
reserved for birds-of-a-feather (BOF) sessions. We currently have open
BOF slots. If you would like to organize a BOF, or want to suggest a
topic for someone else to organize, please send us a note.
Attendance
Attendance will be limited to approximately 250 attendees. We
still have plenty of room for new attendees. If you would like
to attend, please send us a brief note with your interests
and/or background to wcw99@ircache.net.
Accommodation
We have arranged for blocks of rooms in two local hotels.
Currently, these rooms are under-utilized, and we are in danger of
losing the rooms if reservations are not made soon. If you are
attending, we urge you to contact one of the conference hotels as
soon as possible. The deadline is Friday, March 5th. More
information can be found at the URL given above.
Exhibition and Demonstration Facilities
An exhibition area will be available for demonstrations and
for companies sponsoring the workshop. We currently have six
companies signed up for the exhibition area, with plenty of
additional space available. If you would like to reserve a
table in the exhibition area, please contact us.
