squidv2.1PATCH1 on HPUX 10.20?

Hi,

I´m trying to compile squid v2.1.PATCH1 on HPUX 10.20 with gcc2.8.0.
With
        AC_CFLAGS= = -O2 -Wall

gcc stops with a fatal signal 6.

Removing -O2 in the line above yields an executable squid which won´t run.
It´ll print

StatHist.c:67: failed_assertion 'val_in(max - min) > 0'

Can anyone help me with this one?
