Please accept my apologies for the misunderstanding. I reacted only
to the reference to the SNMP port.

Adding an entry like this:
routerUpTime[target]: public@host.address
in the MRTG configuration works fine using the _host_ uptime and name,
(i.e it gets it from the host's standard SNMP port, assuming that you
have one), but I understand from your reply that there are other
things that still need to be patched.

This is always the problem with applying patches to MRTG. But if you
add new configuration options instead, I am sure the author would like
to see them, and perhaps put them into the package as distributed.
