using mIRC with DCC

Hi all

Please excuse this newbie - I have searched the archives and have not
found any reference to this. If there's a more appropriate place to ask
this, then please gently direct me there :-)

We are running Squid for caching as well as proxying purposes. Some of
our users say they are unable to use the DCC function of mIRC, an irc
client for windoze. Firstly, is DCC a security issue and if not, how
would I enable/allow it?
