I'm running squid 1.1.14 on BSD/OS 2.1 with 4Gb cache swap and 25 Mb
cache_mem. Squid uses about 100-110 Mb of memory.
vw.maxdsize is increased to 150 Mb to be on the safe side.
Normally everything seems to work just fine.
The only problem I have is that sometimes, (2-3 times/month) in a couple
of minutes, the memory used by squid is increasing very rapidly and
Squid terninates. (FATAL: xmalloc: Unable to allocate XXXX bytes!)
To increase vm.maxdsize even more does not help.
Has anybody else seen this ?? Any solutions ?
regards,
/Lars
