We are also experiencing the same problem on one of our caches. Unfortunately
it is the busiest of our two, and when these messages start appearing the
cache gets so slow it almost appears to freeze.
Our platform is a Pentium 100 with 128 MB RAM and 4.5 GB for
cache, with Solaris x86 2.5.1 with the latest SunSoft patch cluster,
and squid-1.1.11. When this problem starts it is usually at peak usage
times, with >100 simultaneous users connected.
We are now reinitializing the squid software on this machine once a day
at 5 in the morning. This has decreased the intensity of the problem.
Does anybody have any clues ?
Thanks in advance,
