FATAL: Failed to fork() for ftpget

Hi,

when I kill squid with the -USR1 signal it dies with this message in the
cache.log file:

FATAL: Failed to fork() for ftpget.
Squid Cache (Version 1.1.6): Terminated abnormally

Any Idea?
