Hi folks, I have been running squid 1.0 (1.0.22 now) from 6 months and
since 1.1 seems to be stable I would like to upgrade. What is the "safest"
way of doing this ?
Are these steps correct ?
- unpack the tar.gz
- configure --prefix=.....
- make
- make install (will this replace all with new versions?)
- kill -SIGTERM squid.pid
- kill RunCache
- UPGRADE CACHE DIR
- Let Runcache start the new squid..
I know there is a script to upgrade the cache dir to the new format, but
is there any to upgrade the squid.conf ?
Thanks.
