Depends on many things, but the answer is most likely "yes."
It depends on which version you have.
It depends on how busy your cache is.
It depends on how many objects your cache holds (i.e. cache_swap value).
With the recent 1.1.beta versions, the memory usage is at least
a lot more predictable.
