Without the patch I can retrive without problems the URL
ftp://ftp.surfnet.nl/mirror-archive/software/mcafee/
(WU-FTP Version wu-2.4(2) on a AIX v4.1 system)
When I use the pattched ftpget program I get the following error message:
  The requested URL could not be retrieved
  While trying to retrieve the URL:
ftp://ftp.surfnet.nl/mirror-archive/software/mcafee/
  The following error was encountered:
     No Object Data
  This means that:
     The remote server closed the connection before sending any data.

I have Squid v1.05 running on a SunOS v4.1.4 system
