I think that's it!!! I just applied your patch and re-ran my tests with the
sample adapters and squid's memory stayed flat the entire time. I also
added the patch change to my ecap adapter and ran an abbreviated test suite
of mine and squid also shows flat memory usage.
I need to step away for a bit before I can run my full set of tests, but all
indications are that this fixed the problem. I am so happy! Thank you,
thank you, thank you!!!
