An embarrassing regression error crept into 2.5.STABLE11 breaking delay
pools quite badly.
If you know of any other problems seen critical to get fixed for the
2.5.STABLE12 release please speak up now.
Other patches in the patch queue likely to go in for the 2.5.STABLE12
release:
Bug #1395: Add extra tracing in LDAP authentication and documentation fix
Bug #1401: $HOME not set when started as a system daemon
Bug #1402: httpd_accel_single_host breaks in combination with persistent connection support
Bug #1403: Defining CACHE_HTTP_PORT does not set the default http_port
Bug #454: Document that tcp_outgoing_xxx works badly in combination with
server_persistent_connections on.
these patches have all been tested, but did not make it into STABLE11.
Patches under evaluation which may go in if there is positive results:
Bug #1346: Incomplete error messages with IE
help verifying this is welcome. My access to IE browsers is somewhat
limited..
Patches in the queue not going in for 2.5.STABLE12:
Bug #427: If-Match and If-None-Match support
generally a good thing, but needs to be verified more in depth. Changes
cache refresh logics slightly.
Bug #1319: helpers should be in the same process group as squid
mainly kept as a placeholder for the patch as it's useful in some
debugging situations, but no substantial value for production use to
motivate the change.
