I've just packaged a 2.5.STABLE4 version with _FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 in
cflags. It's actually under testing. If everything goes well I plan to
upload it to debian (for more/deeper testing).

This is true until something weird happens and you get 2GB o logs in a
couple of hours (this is what happened to the bug submitter...).

I'm sure that disk size will be the next limit, but until then... :-)

Is there any plan to implement the rotation policies that where
discussed in bug report #319?
