Just a note for the interested: The new acl prototype registry allows
*direct* registration of acl types at runtime...
So, as an example, external acl could allow this syntax:
"acl" foo class parameters
rather than
"acl" foo "external" class parameters
^ quotes indicate hardcoded symbols in the examples.
I'll be making external acl part of the new framework this weekend, but
will leave such dynamic acl type registration as an exercise for the
reader.
