Yea, and they partner with Microsoft in implementing it, and it only
works in transparent mode.
I was at their release presentation some year or two ago, it was
actually rather funny (but not very informative) with all the
pro-Microsoft propaganda delivered by the Microsoft guy running the
presentation, and the audience was really in on the notes (not to
Microsoft favor I am afraid).
Some typical conversations:
MS gou playing a Microsoft media sound file at a bitrate less than a
Real file, then claiming "So now you heard, the microsoft alternative
really sounds better at a lower bit rate"
Someone in the audience responding in the spirit of "Yea sure did not
hear any difference, and frankly both sounded like crap"
Of a 30 minutes show, about 5 minutes was about the NetCache capability
to split (and maybe cache, the information on that subject was rather
dim) Microsoft Media and Real Media data streams.
