I tried my best to repeat this using RedHat 6.2, but to no avail.
One question: Which OS version is this? I seem to remember you was
running RedHat 7 there..
If it is RedHat 7.0 can you please try to upgrade GCC to the latest
version from RedHat rawhide (or at least the version from the current
7.0 updates section) and then "make clean; make install" to rebuild
Squid... There are numerous issues with the GCC version distributed in
RedHat 7.0...
You can also try compiling with the RedHat 6.2 compiler (available as
egcs in RH 7).
env CC=egcs ./configure ...
make clean
make install
