It's working now.
It turns out that :
1. When I first compiled Squid 2.1 Patch 2, I didn't use the --enable-snmp
switch.
2. But after recompiling squid successfully with --enable-snmp, I forgot to
place the new executable file in my /usr/sbin directory (silly me).
3. After placing the new "squid" in the /usr/sbin, I had to reboot the
machine
4. And then I had to issue the correct call to snmpwalk to get it running.
It won't work with "localhost" as my hostname. It worked when I used
"elisha" (which is my hostname).
Thank you very much for the help.
